These projects show how I structure software, evaluate models and build application workflows. Delivered client systems are on the Experience page; my manuscript and thesis are under Research.
Explainable HCC survival prediction
A packaged Python workflow for one-year survival prediction, with a command-line interface, synthetic-data tests and leakage-safe evaluation.
- Problem
- Build a reusable survival-prediction workflow while preventing leakage between training, tuning, calibration and evaluation.
- What I built
- A modular Python package for data preparation, modeling, evaluation, calibration, explanations, prediction and subgroup analysis.
- A command-line interface and a local Streamlit demonstration.
- pytest tests on synthetic data, with pre-commit and ruff checks.
- Model and data cards, with documentation of methods, limitations, privacy and reproducibility.
- Method
- Compares baseline, logistic-regression and tree-based models using repeated nested stratified cross-validation. Calibration and threshold selection use training data only. Held-out permutation importance supports interpretation.

- The public UCI HCC Survival dataset (165 records, 49 predictors; CC BY 4.0; DOI 10.24432/C5TS4S).
- Scope
- An engineering and evaluation project with documented methods and limitations. The repository publishes no performance numbers or clinical claims.
